Optional Events
Coming into town early? Don't have anything planned during the day? We gotcha covered. Below are some things we plan on doing while we're not standing at altars and dancing like fools. Feel free to join us, or just use this list for a little inspiration!
POOLSIDE DRINKS AT THE ace hotel rooftop pool, alto
Thursday 5/17, 11am-2pm
Come relax poolside with us while snacking on small plates, sipping seasonal cocktails and enjoying panoramic views of the city at the Ace Hotel's fancy rooftop pool, Alto. Best of all, it's only an eight-minute walk from the Cambria Hotel!
BYOC (Bring You Own Cash. This option is à la carte!)
Alto at the Ace Hotel New Orleans

Crawfish boil at clesi's
Thursday 5/17, 4pm-Whenever
If you've never been to a proper NOLA Crawfish Boil, you've never lived. What's a crawfish, you ask? Well, a crawdad is like a shrimp—with a few major differences. You see, you eat crayfish head on. You don't have to suck out the yabbie's head, but it's encouraged. One thing's for certain: Freshwater lobster boils are a great way to enjoy good weather, good company, and good food. So come on down to Clesi's, where we'll be boiling from 4pm 'til the crawfish run out.
BYOC (Bring You Own Cash. This option is à la carte!)
Clesi's Restaurant
3835 Tulane Ave
New Orleans, LA 70119
Clesi's is in Midcity, right by City Park. A great way to spend the day might be to take in some culture at the New Orleans Museum of Art, then drop on by the restaurant and eat 'til you're tired.
Bar Crawl -Warehouse DistricT
Friday 5/18, Noon-3pm
The bridesmaids have a whole nail-painting thing scheduled for Friday until noon (can you tell Danny is writing this?). Afterwards, though, the plan is to just cruise around the Warehouse District (near both hotels), popping into whatever bars strike our fancy. Guys and Gals, bring your drinking money (but not too much!) for a little pre-rehearsal pre-game. Just be sure to be back in time to make it to the rehearsal at 6 pm (unless you're not in the rehearsal, in which case...party on!).
BEIGNETS AT CAFE DU MONDE
SUNDAY 5/20, 12pm-2pm
Join us for an informal post-wedding gathering at Café Du Monde near Jackson Square for some beignets and sunshine. Grab some fried dough smothered in powdered sugar and an iced cafe au lait, and meet us in the square. We might snag a bench or roam around checking out the street vendors. If anyone's feeling adventurous, they could head over to the river boat port and take a quick trip up and down the Mississippi the old fashioned way.
BYOC (Bring You Own Cash. This option is à la carte!)

DINNER AND DRINKS AT BACCHANAL WINE BAR
SUNDAY 5/20, 4PM-WHENEVER
Wine down the weekend the same way you wound it up: with booze and food. Bacchanal Wine bar describes itself as a "NoLa's backyard party [. . .] a wine laboratory where food music and culture collude with Holy Vino to create the most unique evenings you will ever experience in New Orleans Ninth Ward." To us, it's a nice, chill outdoor space where the wine flows freely (though you do have to pay for it). If Sunday is your last night in town, we'd surely love to see you off in style. (And celebrate wedding attendee Sean Hatch's 30th birthday!) Cab or Uber it over and leave whenever you like. We get the feeling that time will never come.
